Location

Located right on the beach in the Kuendu Beach Resort, a Melanesian style hotel complex, we are just 10 minutes from the centre of Noumea. This hotel, set  in the beautiful Kuendu Bay consists of over-the water, beachfront  and garden  bungalows. Lagoon Safaris is a member of the PIRA (PADI International Resort Association), the New Caledonian Dive Operators Association and a PROJECT AWARE ECO Centre.

Services

Activities include a product for everyone from the beginner to the dedicated diver. There are half-day trips to near-by Signal Island, a marine and bird sanctuary, where guests can enjoy snorkelling in clear water with colourful corals and fish. Discover scuba diving programs also take place on this Island. Two tank half-day dive trips are organised to the barrier reef and its passages or selected wrecks. Night dives have the added attraction of viewing fluorescent corals and organisms using special lamps and filters. Lagoon Safaris offers PADI courses from entry level right through to Assistant Instructor including a wide selection of PADI specialty courses. After diving, you can  enjoy lunch on the veranda of the Lily Snack, overlooking the beach, and on Sundays there is the added attraction of traditional Melanesian and Polynesian dancing.  Hotel and dive packages are available.

Equipement

Dive boats are a 9m60 custom built BWA semi-rigid  covered dive-boat powered by twin 4-stroke 200 hp Suzuki outboards and a 6m50 semi-rigid Lomac powered by a 4-stroke 140 hp Suzuki outboard.

Dive gear is supplied by Beuchat International. Our modern well-maintained gear is regularly renewed. We have a large selection of steel tanks from small 6 litre tanks to 15 litre tanks including the most popular 10 & 12 litre sizes. Dive suits include 3mm shorties and 6mm full suits for the cooler months. Dive computers and cameras are available for rental. Specially adapted gear for children mean that scuba diving with Lagoon Safaris can be a family experience.
